 Pizza Rolls Bake

It's not easy to please kids with snacks that they can devour when they open their fast. Well, you can be sure, they are going to love this one! With some basic ingredients available at home, you can win the hearts of your little ones! I did win my picky eater girl's heart! :D

The pizza rolls are made usimg bread slices, that are moistened and rolled to flatten to which the prepared pizza sauce is spread, onto that, add Mozzarella cheese, chopped veggies and the fried chicken pieces. These rolls are so yum! I feel like making them again already! (especially because it's so easy to prepare, hehe) Slice the rolls and place them on a baking tray, so read the remaining sauce, and sprinkle Mozzarella cheese and bake until the cheese melts. Soo good I must say!

Let's get the ingredients :

Ingredients:

  • 6-7 Bread slices
  • 150 grams Boneless Chicken, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt, as required
  • 1/2 Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Capsicum, chopped
  • 4-5 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 tsp Tomato paste
  • Freshly minced garlic, a pinch
  • 1/4 tsp Oregano
  • 3-4 tbsp Black Olives, sliced
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Red Chilli flakes, a pinch (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic, freshly minced
  • Salt

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the sliced chicken with Kashmiri Chilli powder, garlic paste, black pepper powder and salt.
  2. Fry the chicken pieces in vegetable oil and set aside.

  3. To make the pizza sauce, to a small bowl, add the tomato ketchup, tomato paste, oregano, minced garlic (only a pinch, as the garlic can over power)
  4. Next, trim the sides of the bread slices.
  5. Moisten the bread with fingertips, and flatten using a roller.

  6. Spread the pizza sauce over the bread, sprinkle mozzarella cheese, add the chopped onion and capsicum, and top up with sliced black olives. Place 2-3 pieces of the fried chicken pieces and roll them. At the end of the bread, dampen with water and press the roll to the end and seal it.
  7. Cut the roll into half and place both the roll on a small baking dish, cut side facing up. Similarly do rest of the bread slices and fill the baking dish.

  8. Finally, mix softened butter with minced garlic and salt and apply over the rolls and spread the remaining pizza sauce over the rolls and add leftover chicken pieces and chopped veggies.
  9. Now sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously, and sprinkle little red Chilli flakes (avoid if children can’t stand spice)
  10. Bake/ microwave until the cheese melts and serve warm!

Egglicious Cheesy Toasted Sandwich

The sandwich filling is inspired by Farisa's (A dear fellow food blogger)'s Mughlai Omellete which I modified to my taste and needs. This is a perfect snack that can given to kids as a snack and equally enjoyed by elders.

I had done a trial for breakfast a few days back and since it turned out good I thought I'd sharing with you guys! Also as we are in a pandemic situation, this is something that can be prepared with basic ingredients at home.

This makes a perfect snack for hungry kids.. Done in no time yet delicious.. I grille dthe sandwiches in a stove top bread toaster/grill which is nearly as old as me 😂. I stole it from my mom. I somehow like it better than the electric ones. However you may simply use an electric sandwich griller too.

Ingredients :

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 3-4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 small onion, chopped finely
  • 1/4 small tomato, chopped
  • 2 green chillis, chopped finely
  • 2 eggs boiled and grated
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp Mayonaise
  • Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions :

  1. Boil the eggs and grate it using a grater and set aside.
  2. Now prepare the masala by sautéing onions, tomatoes and green chillis.
  3. Next add Turmeric powder and Chilli powder. Sautee and add water, then mix well.
  4. Next add the grated eggs and mix thoroughly.
  5. Switch off the flame and add the Mayo and mix.
  6. Onto 2 slices of bread spread butter on either sides and place buttered side down on the grilled and place the egg filling and add a generous amount of Mozzarella and place the other slice of bread and toast it well. This way the filling will not spill when the kids have the sandwich.
  7. Do try the egglicious sandwich toast and let me know how you liked it.

Glazed Upside Down Banana Loaf

Having ripe bananas at home and you have no idea what to do with them? Worry not! Upside down Banana Loaf Cake is simply delicious, the best accompaniment for tea time, also a wonderful snack if you have kids at home. This utterly butterly delicious banana cake is definitely going to be everyone's favorite snack.

My husband happened to see a video on facebook of a banana bread ice cream cake, and he wanted me to bake it for him. Since I had no ice cream in the freezer, I thought of giving it a try with my own ideas. I always loved the caramel dripping effect, so I took my take on the upside-down caramel banana loaf. When I was experimenting with my recipe, I had my cousins come over unexpectedly. They loved the loaf, more than them their kids kept munching on them and came asking for more. Everyone wanted the recipe. It was an adapted version of the one I saw on facebook and it came out so good.

The smell that came from the oven while I had them bake made me go bonkers, I just couldn't wait to try them. I loved how the caramel glaze came out on the top. Feel free to add a little whipped cream, when making the sauce (it will spill all over initially, be careful) if you like more of caramel than the glaze effect. Mind that the glaze one is very sweet, I would definitely try the caramel version the next time.

Let's hop on to the recipe. If you make it, do share your feedback, would love to hear from you!💝

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 overripe bananas
  • 3 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup + 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 Flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Salt a pinch
  • 1 tbsp raisins/ blueberry
  • 2 tbsp yogurt/curd

INSTRUCTION

  1. Preheat the oven to 180℃.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and add in the brown sugar and let it get to a boil on medium-low flame. Pour the glaze into the loaf pan.

  1. Slice the banana and place them carefully, lined in a pattern on the sauce poured.

  2. Now smash the other banana with the help of a fork in a separate bowl. Add in the butter, egg, sugar, vanilla essence, yogurt, blueberries/raisins and combine them using a spatula.

  3. Now add in the rest of the ingredients; the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix till well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture to a loaf pan.

  5. Now bake the loaf for around 50 mins till a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  6. After the loaf almost cools, about 20 mins later, go around the sides of the loaf using a blunt knife and level the bulge layer and make it a flat surface, as it is an upside-down loaf.
  7. Now place the loaf upside down on your serving plate and tap the loaf pan a few times for the loaf to loosen and drop on the plate or serving platter. Get ready to be mesmerized! 😋

Note:

  •  To make home-made cinnamon powder, you need not buy one, you may grind it to fine powder by adding a tsp of sugar when grinding the cinnamon, it helps the powder to be finer.
  • I have only shown 1 egg in the picture, this is because I was experimenting and using my instincts and felt 2 eggs would be required which only dawned on me while I mixed the batter.
